About

Jim started his career in animation in 1987. Early in his career he worked in broadcast design and live television. In Philadelphia he got his start at WGBS-TV "Philly 57" and later continued on to Miami, working at WDZL-TV 39, WBFS-TV 33 and WTVJ NBC-4.
Upon being nominated for an Emmy and a Gold Medallion Award for a promotional animation he created for the Florida Marlins, Jim was offered a position at ITV "South Florida PBS". There, his job was creating traditional animation shot on a 16mm and an Oxberry Animation Stand. During that time he also created a live action children's show called On The Move With Virgil where he designed, built, and acted in a 7 foot tall dinosaur/alligator costume. The show was backed by animation, puppetry, and live action and is stilled aired today.
In the early 90's Jim moved to LA, landing a job on The Pebble And The Penguin as an inbetweener. For the over 9 years in LA Jim worked at Warner Brothers, Disney, Sony Pictures, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network on such projects as Men In Black, Histeria, Lady and the Tramp II and Alvin and the Chipmunks among many others. In 1994 Jim was offered a position as Art Director at Fox 29 in Philadelphia where he was responsible for Fox's first year of graphics and design for "NFL on Fox" but he returned to LA because of his passion for animation.
In 2001 Jim moved back east and has since worked at MTV/Nickelodeon, Curious Pictures, DMA, Wachtenheim Marianetti and VH1. He has also had the opportunity to art direct VH1's ILL-ustrated and MTV's Friday, The Animated Series.
